Acceptance of terms
These terms apply when you access or use Almus. By using Almus, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Almus service
Almus is a private AI journal for capturing memories, reflecting with care, receiving prompts, chatting with your journal, and discovering patterns and insights over time. Features may change as we improve the service.
Accounts
You may need an account to use Almus. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Private password
Some Almus features rely on a private password that protects encrypted journal content. You are responsible for keeping this password safe. Almus cannot read your encrypted journal content or recover it for you if the private password is lost.
Your content
You own the journal entries, images, preferences, and other content you add to Almus. You are responsible for the content you create and for making sure you have the rights needed to store it in Almus.
You give Almus permission to process your content only as needed to provide the service, including syncing, encrypting, storing, displaying, backing up, and generating features you request.
AI features
Almus features are designed for reflection and support. They are not medical, legal, financial, emergency, or professional advice. You should not rely on Almus for urgent safety needs or decisions that require a qualified professional.
Payments and subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices, billing periods, renewals, trials, cancellations, and refunds are shown at checkout or in the payment provider experience.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Almus, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, use the service for unlawful activity, upload malicious content, or use Almus in a way that harms other people, the service, or our providers.
Intellectual property
Almus, including its design, software, branding, features, and content that we provide, belongs to Almus and its licensors. These terms do not give you ownership of Almus intellectual property.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Almus reliable, but the service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every feature will always be available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Almus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Almus changes. The latest version will be posted on this page. Questions can be sent to hi@almus.ai.
